SEWER LINES PLUGGED/FROZEN POLICY

- Upon receiving a call from a homeowner advising that their sewer is either backing up or plugged/frozen, the Village shall request the homeowner to contact a plumber to check his private connection between the septic and Village line and to have either a council member or the maintenance personnel on hand to determine where the problem lies.
- If the sewer trouble lies on the Village property, then the Village is responsible to fix the sewer line as soon as possible and will pay for pump out as needed.
- If the sewer trouble is on the homeowner side of the shut off, then all cost to fix the sewer will be the homeowners’ expense.
