VILLAGE OF SHELL LAKE
BYLAW 4 – 2015

A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF SHELL LAKE TO AMEND BYLAW NO. 9/87 KNOWN AS THE ZONING BYLAW

The Council of the Village of Shell Lake in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts to amend Bylaw No. 9/87 as follows:

1. THAT the following be added to Section 2 – Interpretation:

Park Models – A trailer coach that is designed for long term or permanent placement that may be used as a dwelling all the year round

i) That has water faucets and shower or other bathing facilities that may be connected to a water distribution system;
ii) That has facilities for washing and water closet or other similar facility that may be connected to a sewage system.

2. THAT the following be added to Section 5.4.2 R – Residential District under Section (4) Discretionary Uses:

c) Park Models

i) All Park Models shall be certified by the manufacturer that it complies with the Canadian Standards Association Code CSA – A277 standard.
ii) All roadways in the park model court shall have a minimum 15 metre right-of-way, be hard surfaced, and self-drained.
iii) A minimum of 10% of the gross area of the park model court shall be devoted to communal open space
iv) Lot Requirements

Lot area – minimum 465 sq metres
Lot frontage minimum 15 metres
Yard, front minimum 6 metres
Yard, side minimum 1.2 metres

v) Floor Area

Floor Areas – The following minimum floor areas apply:
400 square feet

vi) Park Models should be no older than 10 years and provide pictures for councils’ approval.
